Uros islands & Island de Taquile

The Uros are a group of 90 man made islands that float on Lake Titicaca. They are made of reeds and can last up to 35 years before being abandoned. About 2000 people live here and have their own language that pre dates the Incas.

We then visited another island where men wear red and white hats if they are single and knit items of clothing to sell to tourists. The women wear black dresses to show they are married. It's a different way of life out there!Читать далее
