We arrived in Patagonia! The journey here makes it into the top 5 of turbulent flights. Looking forward to some treks over the next few days. Bit cloudy today but weather promising for trekking.
Laguna Capri

14km hike to the Laguna. Pretty cloudy so didn't see as much as we wanted to.
Lago Del Pliegue Tumbado

24km hike in great weather, it was cold but the sun was strong. Perfect views of Fitz Roy and surrounding mountains. Spotted some icebergs in the distance as well as a few big condors circlingLäs mer
Laguna Torre

An easier 18km trek to the glacier lake today.
We saw signs of pumas in the sand but no luck in spotting any. Enjoyed a spot of lunch at the lake side and then fished out some small icebergs.
El Calafte

Woke up at 4:30am to catch the bus but the 8:30am connecting bus does not exist. Instead we are hanging about the town for the 4:30pm bus. Phoebe had resorted to sleeping on a park bench.

It was an easy 12km hike to the glacier today. There was a wow factor after a couple of hours walking when we first spotted some icebergs. Then the glacier appeared!

Vina del mar

A hot day on the beach but the water was freezing! Headed back to the hostel to have some dinner on the terrace.
Con con dunes

A small trip to the sand dunes of Con Con. Then we went back to the beach and watched some sea lions fight with pelicans over the fishermen's leftover scraps.
