    Elephant Seals

    I had plenty to drive up Highway 1, the famous coast Road up to the point where it was destroyed by a landslide two years ago today. But it was very foggy, so I spent a lot of time watching the elephant seals. It was very nice to watch the colony, this time of the year there are females changing their fur (molting) and juveniles, none of the big males with the characteristic trunk. Then I drive up to Ragged Point before heading inland towards the pinnacles and spending time in the library of the small town by of Soledad.Read more
