San Francisco - Alcatraz

Walking along the pier, I passed the pier for boats to Alcatraz and spontaneously ask if tickets are available. Yes they are, I take the next board to spend two hours on the infamous prison island. The cell block is the highlight, but there are a lot of buildings partly dating from the mid-1850s to prison administration buildings. The islands also serves as a bird sanctuary today.Read more
