Day 8 was mostly a travel day as we took the bullet train from Nice to Paris. Because of the heatwave, the train couldn’t run at full speed, so the ride was a little slower than usual — but honestly, it gave us time to nap and watch the French countryside roll by. Picture rolling hills, tiny villages, flower fields, and those classic stone farmhouses you imagine when someone says “rural France.”
We did get the disappointing news that our Louvre reservation was canceled since they had to close early for the heat.Read more
