It's hard to believe that after only a day of driving we have left the Great Plains, traversed the Rocky Mountains and arrive at our destination in Moab, Utah on the Colorado Plateau. Not only that, but we had time to settle into our small cabin and explore the area a little before the sun set for the evening. What a beautiful area!Read more

Arches National Park

With the first of our two full days in Moab, we took in Arches National Park. We were thankful that the weather was not as hot as it had been the week prior, but we still found ourselves wishing we had taken more water into the park than we had — especially when Liam and I climbed to Delicate Arch. There are so many fantastic rock formations to see and trails to explore here.Read more

Canyonlands National Park

A massive park I was unfamiliar with until preparing for this trip. The visitor station and roads provide access to a very small part of it. The rest of the park is only accessible via off-road travel. A trail let us explore a mesa overlooking some of the Northern part of the park.Read more
