Oak trees!

This may not seem very exciting to you, but for 8,000km the only deciduous trees have been silver birches. Everything else has been pine, larch and cedar.

We are also out of Siberia, and into the Far Eastern Territories. Yesterday we saw the first signs of livestock: goats, cows, chickens and - out in the Wild East with the goldmines - horses. Today I've spotted the first distant field boundaries.Baca selengkapnya
