Didn’t want to leave these views

After a peaceful night (apart from a brief visit by the local cows) we decided to stay for the day and another night. It’s just such an awesome view that you really need a lot of time to just sit or lie on the bed with the back doors open and take it all in. Lots of birds come and go including many huge vultures circling around overhead, a bit ominous but interesting to see.
Until about midday we had the pleasure of having the place to ourselves then a succession of people started to arrive and go up to the abandoned building that was largely in a ruined state. We think it must be up for sale. Although it would take a lot of work to make it habitable I can absolutely understand why someone would want to live up here, though it is probably pretty bleak in winter. A couple of small vans turn up later in the afternoon and stay for the night so we’re not alone this time.Read more
