Finally we've arrived in Astana (the capital of Kazakhstan). All was clean and modern and we stayed in a big flat with Ali's brother and his family.

We had nearly two weeks to discover Kyrgyzstan. Because our flight to Delhi was already booked we've spent the time in canteens, undertook some sightseeing and organised a trip around the lake. IWeiterlesen
Came here for hiking and horesriding and stayed in a cute warm yurt. Our hostel owner Eleman took good care of us, and did I already mention: Kyrgyz food is so good!
Went with Killian and a Polish couple we've met in our hostel for horse riding. The landscape around Karakol was beautiful, but after 7 hours on a horse, my backside wasn't beautiful anymore.

With the Polish couple we've traveled around Lake Issyk-Kul. We camped on the beach and on the next day we hiked at the Fairy Tale Canyon.
We went on with our round the lake trip and swam in Salty Lake. There we took a healthy, but hard to get rid of, mud bath. After some hitchhiking out of there, we've got picked up in Balykchy fromWeiterlesen
