    A tad cold this am..... -1 so we waited until 11am when it was 5 degrees to go for a bike ride on Otago Rail Trail.
    Off we went after lunch and continued on our way to Moeraki. We are parked up right next to beach at the Red Barn a private park over property (pop) 😀 we had fish and chips 🍟 for dinner, more blue cod. Really delish.
    Feels and sounds weird to be back on the coast again after all the lakes.
    Lovely sunset 🌇 and forecast is still great next few days.    Okumaya devam et

    Day 30

    A wonderful sunrise on Moeraki Beach and a walk up to the boulders across the road.
    Had to stop at Vanessa's Cafe in Hampden for a huge muffin and sausage roll.
    Had to stop at Rainbow lolly shop Oamaru, can't go past there without a stock up.
    Came past Riverstone Castle just north so quick stop for an updated photo and browse in shops. Scaffolding around the new drawbridge going in and carpark is getting redone too, all ready for Spring.
    Onto Waimate where we will stay night at Nzmca Park.
    A stunning day today, indeed quite warm.    Okumaya devam et

    Left Waimate, but not until we met up with the lovely Angela and Keith who have moved down here in October.
    Forgot to take a photo!!! Oh no but a lovely Cafe called The Bakery. They are doing up all the historic buildings.
    Another fine day. 🌞
    Drove State Highway 1 through Timaru and Ashburton to NZMCA Park out of Chch by the Waikariri braided river. Right next door, a fabulous dog park.
    Only one photo today! Taken out our back window tonight.
    Night 🌙
    We tackle Arthur's Pass tomorrow and the rain is coming. Of course it is, we are heading to the West Coast. Lol    Okumaya devam et

    Welcome home tonight to our fellow camping buddy Denise Crimp and entrepid explorer Bella 🐕 . We're not too far behind you.
    Let's hope those boys don't get up to too much mischief!
    We left Otira amidst our first wind and rain, but just for awhile. Drove last bit of Arthur's Pass until you turn off for Blackball. Short stop in pretty Moana to stretch our legs. Blackball next where we bought salami and had lunch at the Hilton. 🏨 lol
    Stopped at PIKE River Memorial only 15kms from the mine near the main road. Very moving.
    Now we are freedom camping on the river, right in lovely old town Reefton. I like it here and will have an explore in the morning.

    We left Murchison after having a great night at the local to watch the Warriors loose with these two crazies. 🤪 Sue Summers and Eddie and darling Lola 🐕 ❤️
    Only stopped for a coffee at St Arnauds and drove through the low cloud and drizzle until we reached wine country again, the sun came out. Parked up now at the Racecourse at Blenheim which backs onto the golf course ⛳️
    Gary is looking forward to playing on Tues with KarenGarth Taylor 🤞
    Golf clubs haven't put in an appearance this whole trip. 😳    Okumaya devam et

    Another night at Blenheim, Gary Boulton was hoping to play golf with KarenGarth Taylor but turned out it was vets day. Never mind. Good catch up with them, they have had a busy and fruitful time whizzing round and playing golf and organizing next years golf safari in SI. Yeah
    Met 2 entrepid explorers Karen Schouten and Nick and little Bentley I ❤️ him.
    Goodbye SI until next time. We are crossing tomorrow at 2pm on Connemara Bluebridge back to the sad island.    Okumaya devam et

    We did it. Nice walk around Picton and a coffee on waterfront.
    Such a stunning day again today to cross over to the sad island. 😔
    Parked up at Petone Men's Working Club arriving 5.30pm in Wellington rush hour traffic. Pfftt!
    Great catch up over dinner with the golf safari crew. Yee-ha good to see you guys.

    Haven't seen Edwina Hanson and Chris for a year.
    Special, good people. Nice visit with the whanau. Even have new addition adorable JoyJoy I wanted to steal away. 😍 ❤️
