    Ronda & Caminito del Rey

    Absorbing morning sun on the patio
    To decide which of many places to go.
    Arrived in Ronda as the church rang midday
    Across Puente Nuevo bridge it’s main gateway.

    Jardines de Cuenca descends gently in tiers
    Where the depth of this gorge truly appears.
    Partook in a paella lunch under corner shade
    Onto a quirky estate where Olive Oil is made.

    Our next adventure was the Caminito del Rey
    A 7km trek along a most notorious cliff way.
    On a gorge boardwalk attached 100m high
    Monitored by a guide to ensure we comply.

    Following the Embaise de Gaitanejo cliff ridge
    Spectacularly crossing via a suspension bridge.
    Proved not so arduous yet still a proud feat
