    Flinders Chase National Park

    Two nomadic koalas 🐨 resting after a hard day doing nothing in particular. Due to the restricted nature of their diet (eucalyptus leaves) koalas have little energy and spend most of their time sleeping in high branches.
    This mother still has a cub in tow and the koalas on Kangaroo Island where they were introduced from the mainland are a success story as their numbers have flourished to the point where they have had to sterilize some to protect the health of the overall colony from eating themselves to starvation.
