    The Remarkable Rocks

    These rocks are very impressive and obvious as they are all located within in one small section of the park. They were formed millions of years ago when hot lava burst through the earths surface and rapidly cooled in the presence of mica and basalt forming granite.
    The resulting erosion has occurred over thousands of years and formed these interesting shapes. When standing on the point the surrounding winds are very strong which has impacted the form and composition of the granite.
