We had a lovely walk through this lovely small town of 2,500 capital of the Isle of Skye, that is often overwhelmed with tourists.
Surrounded by hills on 3 sides--Ben Tianavaig to the South, Fingal's Seat to the West, and Ben Chrachaig to the North. The town was first occupied by Scots from Ireland, ruled by Norsemen until 12th Century, then Independent and finally the part of the Kingdom of Scotland since the 15th Century.
