See the video of the APOLONIA. "Apollonia" is a massive, historic 1926 Dutch Decap dance organ featured at the MIM. Weighing over two tons, this mechanical instrument includes accordions, saxophones, pipes, and drums. In its day, it was cheaper than an orchestra so it was shipped from venue to venue for occasions to play and would have to arrive in parts and be put together each time. "Apollonia" is the female form of "Apollo," the Greek god of the sun and music. During its working life, this organ was owned by the firm Gebroeders M. & G.
Teugels, which provided organs for the popular circuit of dance halls and traveling shows. It remained in Teugels's collection until the mid-198os, when it was imported into the United States by an American collector.

On the way back to Micheles, she drove us through Old Town Scottsdale, which is always a fun little town with great restaurants (we didn't eat here tis time but on out last visit we had a great dinner here). Tonight we decided to go back to Michele & Chris' for a fabulous BBQ as we watched sunset.
