The High Tatras

This afternoon, we visited the High Tatras mountains, specifically the resort area around the alpine lake Štrbské Pleso. We took a short walk to the lake and enjoyed the spectacular views. Local craftspeople were holding an open market, so we enjoyed browsing. We found a few gifts and souvenirs to bring home with us. We then stopped for dinner at a wonderful restaurant owned by a Slovak Olympic bronze medalist in the biathlon, a sport that combines marksmanship with cross country skiing.Read more
