From Martin to Vienna

We said goodbye to our friends in Martin this morning as we boarded our bus back to Vienna. We arrived in the early afternoon, dropped our bags at the hotel, and then headed into the city to explore.

We decided to visit Café Central, one of the most famous coffee houses in the city. It opened in 1876, and at the turn of the 20th century it was a popular meeting point for leaders in the world of art, literature, politics, and science such as Arthur Schnitzler, Sigmund Freud. Peter Altenberg and Leo Trotski. We enjoyed a light lunch followed by apple strudel for dessert. Delicious! After lunch, we walked past St. Stephan's Church on our way back to the train station. During the ride, Stacy befriended a sweet 9 year old girl traveling with her family from Japan. The girl taught Stacy a hand clapping game as she sang a little song. So adorable! Czytaj więcej
