Day 8 comments

After a good rest in Ovando I set myself the target of reaching Helena. I felt good and managed to ride up the first pass. I saw only 4 riders the whole day. It turned into a very long day with me finally reaching a hotel in Helena at 00:30.

I managed to drop my phone on the downhill into Helena. I had to hike about 2km back up the pass before I found it.

I saw quite a lot of animals including a bear cub (I left before the mommy bear saw me) and a badger.

It was rainy and cold all day. I wore my down jacket and windproof skull cap for about half the day.Læs mere
