    Gonzar

    June 28, 2017 in Spain

It was wet again, but lots of fun 🎉
Today marks day 28 of walking. Four weeks of walking?? How did that happen so fast? Celebrated by getting a beer at every single stop. Starting at stop one at 8:00 in the morning 😱
Also, I passed the 100km mark!! Crazy 😊 feeling very happy that I've made it so so farRead more

    Barbadelo

    June 27, 2017 in Spain

Rainy, wet day today. Though very pleasant! I took a 7km detour just to see the monastery in a small town called Samos. Well worth the extra wet kilometres 😉
Walked through Sarria too which it the town everybody starts at because it marks the last 116km. That's the minimum for getting your Compostela.
How have I ended up in Sarria so fast? It's crazy...

    Triacastela

    June 26, 2017 in Spain

Relatively short walk down the other side of the mountains today. It was foggy and wet but it was great to see a change in the weather after days and days of mega hot weather 😊
Getting and closer to the sub 100km mark... Scary stuff!!
Also, wishing my Grumpdad a very very happy birthday today and a huge big hug 😘Read more

  • Day27

    O'Cebreiro

    June 25, 2017 in Spain

Last big uphill hike of the Camino is done and dusted. Yet again, all these photos don't even capture anything close to the magical views here...
I crossed the border to Galicia, too. Which means "GET THE RAINCOATS AND PONCHO OUT"!

  • Day26

    Villafranca del Bierzo

    June 24, 2017 in Spain

Back in wine country!! Though I'm not going hard... Recovering from yesterday and getting rest in before the last big hike up a hill tomorrow. Can't believe how fast time has gone...
Another great walking day even with tired legs and feet. Last night's celebrations had nothing to do with it of course! 😉Read more

    Molinaseca

    June 23, 2017 in Spain

Wow, another amazing day along the camino. Hiked up a hill early morning to see the sunrise.... Missed it. I was sweaty and tired but pulled through. Eventually I stopped in a village called Molinaseca, which has an amazing river and bridge that everyone was chilling by.
Ended the day by finding out I am officially in possession of a Bachelor degree, therefore went to celebrate with tapas, tinto and shots 🎉
One of my favorite days by far ❤
