Where’s the Food Truck??!

At the Pilgrim office, the volunteer indicated that at about mile nine or 10 there would be a food truck before we move off the road onto the gravel path going over the Pyrenees. Jon and I plan to eat our lunch there with no snacks in our pack. lo and behold we arrive at the turn off and no food truck!!!

Having read the travel books, I was explicit to confirm with the volunteer, “the food truck will be there, right?“ She said yes. I was asking desperately to people in and around the area if they had seen the food truck or heard about a food truck being at the turn off. No indication from them whatsoever that truck existed. Jon couldn’t help but laugh at how funny and typical it must’ve sounded for an American to be asking for a food truck in a random spot in the Pyrenees.🤣

All the way to Roncevalles we joked about asking all Pellegrino’s if they’ve seen the mysterious missing food truck.Leer más
