    We walked out to Granite Island also known as Nulcoowarra and was formed over 500 million years ago when magma was squeezed up from deep within the earth. It covers 25 hectares and is the largest island off the shores of Victor Harbor. It is home to fairy penguins and wallabies with a 1.9km tourist walk around the island. Went to Point Elliot, Horseshoe Bay for a swim and a beach day. Went to Rapid Bay which was named after Colonel William Light’s 162 ton survey brig the Rapid. It was mined for its limestone by BHP from 1942-1981. These days it’s knows for the long jetty built in 1942. We enjoyed it for the clear blue water and the sushine.Læs mere
