    Green Island

    Green Island is about a 40 minute ferry ride out from Cairns. It’s a very small
    Island that you can walk around in about half an hour. Lovely beach and a great way to spend the day swimming and snorkeling with the turtles.Read more

    Port Douglas

    Port Douglas has become one of many favorite places in Australia. So much to do and such a beautiful area. We went out with Quicksilver to snorkel on the Great Barrier Reef, swam at four mile beach, enjoyed the town and the many restaurants on offer.Read more

    Mosman Gorge

    We did a day trip out to Mossman Gorge. The walk through rainforest was one of the best walks we have done. Such a beautiful place and definitely well worth the visit.

    Magnetic Island

    I fell in love with this Island and would love to go back. You can take your car over there, which is very handy, and there are lots of different walks/hikes that you can do. The many beaches are beautiful. Best walk was the hike up to the Forts. Steep but we’ll worth it for the view. Best beach would have to be Alma Bay. Great spot for a swim and explore. We stayed at Peppers Nelly Bay which was great because we had access to great restaurants and close to the ferry and marina. I would like to try and stay at Florence Bay next time. This was a really lovely little spot also with some great little cafes and restaurants.Read more

    Airlie Beach

    Stayed at the Discovery Caravan Park Airlie Beach. Great spot just out of town but close to the Marina and still close enough to ride into town. Loved Airlie Beach with its many restaurants and town Lagoon pool. It is also the spot to get the ferry to Hamilton Island, Day Dream Island and all the other many islands of the Whitsunday’s. Would love to spend more time here next time we are up this way.Read more

    Hamilton Island

    Hamilton Island is one of my favorite Aussie destinations. You can do as much or as little as you want here. The weather was not so kind to us but we still got out and explored the island. We did the passage peak walk which really was a challenge but so worth it. We stayed at the Reef Hotel, hired a buggy to explore, ate at some beautiful restaurants, played tennis, walked the beaches and enjoyed relaxing.Read more

    Yeppoon

    Yeppoon is definitely a place I would like to spend more time in. We stayed at Kinka Beach Caravan Park. Yeppoon is a real surprise. Lovely beaches, lovely town and a great lagoon pool. The views to Great Keppel Island are amazing. We had lunch at the Marina, went to Emu Park and enjoyed the beach out the front of the caravan park. We really enjoyed our time here.Read more

    Agnes Waters and 1770.
    Lovely spot and well worth the visit. Beautiful beach and the 1770 camp ground is awesome. We visited Chinaman’s beach, Agnes Waters main beach had lunch at the 1770 Tavern, did the Paperbark Forest Walk and the Discovery Walk.Read more

    Hervey Bay

    Hervey Bay is a great place to visit. We stayed at Fraser Street Discovery Park. Beautiful beaches, great walking/bike paths, went whale watching, which was an absolute highlight.
    Visited Mick’s grandparent’s old house and caught up with Jenni and Bernard, Mick’s Aunty and uncle.Read more

    Noosa North Shore Campgrouns

    Always a favorite of ours. Has to be one of the best camp spots on the Sunshine Coast. Just a short ferry ride over with the caravan in tow. Camping next to the beach with a camp fire. Caught up with friends and visited Rainbow Beach after driving up the beach for the day.Read more

    Cotton Tree

    Cotton Tree Caravan Park where the ocean meets the Maroochydore River. This is one of the best caravan parks and almost feels like home. We stayed here for just over two weeks for the school holidays. Met some great people, caught up with old friends and enjoyed the sunshine, warm water and beaches. We even went to Australia Zoo this time.Read more
