Camino Day 3 - Itero de la Vega

Wonderful shared dinner last night with a huge salad, paella and fruit, plus the standard bottle of red.
An earlier start today, as we set off in the dark. Through the remaining Meseta. Stunning day with a light breeze and sun (not to hot).
We stopped in to visit the ruins of the Convent San Anton, which still operates as an albergue.
2nd breakfast was Castojeriz, a really beautiful town with the old castle ruins on the hill and a huge church (of course) and a monastery.
Our first big hill was next, but the pay off was the amazing views back over the city and farmland.Read more
