Torre dell Orso

Enjoyed almost 4 hours sleep at my airport hotel - best laid plans, then a one hour flight from Rome to Brindisi on Alitalia.
This part was easy, as was the pre- booked shuttle to Torre dell Orso. Rain poured down during the drive but cleared quickly so I walked to the Grotta del Poesia. Swimming in this natural rock pool is a “bucket list” experience - very warm and clear water. The roman ruins at San Rocca were impressive for the extra dimension they added to s great swimming experience.
Loved sword fish (spada) and green beans from friendly Viola’s for dinner and gelato from Dentoni 1euro a scoop.Lue lisää
