A rainbow day at Monkey Bay

The best thing about having time and no set plan is the flexibility and spontaneity that arises.

David has always wanted to see this part of Malawi, and what a delightful day it turned out to be indeed. The autumnal colours that filled our being, the gentle warm rain that infused the air with the smell of straw as it fell, the animated stories told by Marco, a Spanish biker that had been on the road for many months, the grace of a good cup of filter coffee (for me only obviously), a moment of intimacy under the magic of a rainbow, and the space to catch ones breath and integrate some of the many intense moments that traveling though Malawi has brought.Read more
