    Chobe National Park, Botswana

    After a short drive, and interesting border crossing we are in Botswana. Our final stop for 2 nights. The Kubu lodge is a charming camp like experience! The baboons and warthogs kept us entertained for the morning and through lunch. Then it was off for an early evening game drive with our guide John. Chobe Park surprised us with yet another very different landscape. Red sand, breathtaking views, and many skeleton bones were a first for us. So many elephants along the spectacular Chobe river, along with hippos and water buffalo. A very up close view of this large lion resting was certainly exciting.     Adrenaline for Breakfast

    Our last game drive was an early sunrise start. John did not disappoint! We had an unbelievable sighting of this magnificent pride, resting after their evening hunts. It truly was jaw dropping and took all our breaths away! We never imagined we would be so close to them! Most likely a once in a lifetime experience! The adrenaline was still flowing when we returned to the lodge for breakfast. We all relaxed for the afternoon, absorbing what we just saw.En savoir plus

    Last Sunset

    Our final visit in the park was a sunset boat ride. I just love to see the massive hippos! There were plenty of crocodiles, water buffalo, beautiful birds, and an amazing lone elephant crossed the river for a final rare sighting! A grouping of trees the locals call "the 3 sisters" was a great backdrop for our final shot together at sunset.En savoir plus

    See you Next Time

    All good things must come to an end. We are not saying goodbye to Africa, only "Until Next Time" ♥️🌍 Truly a life changing experience. Our thirst for bigger adventures has definitely been sparked! Countless firsts, great experiences, laughs, thrills, and new friendships formed. So grateful for the opportunity to travel and beautiful Canada we call home.En savoir plus
