Up ridiculously early as the temperature will be 42 today and we are heading to Abu Simbel. Magnificent temple of Ramses II and his wife did not disappoint. Another huge structure which was moved away from the waters of the dam by the efforts UNESCO and the Egyptian government. Back in Aswan, we checked on our boat “The Nile Princess” which remained docked for the evening. The plan was to go on a Felucca (a traditional Egyptian sailing boat) and then to the spice markets, but we were stopped by dust storm.Read more
