Wow what a day! Our first stop was the Valley of the Kings where we actually went into three of the tombs! Setnahkt, Siptah & Ramses III - all different periods so quite different. Then onto the tomb of Tutankhamen. Not as big as the others but special! From there we went to the Temple of Queen Hatshepsut who was a female king of Egypt who reigned in her own right and attained unprecedented power for a woman, adopting the full titles and regalia of a pharaoh. Go girl! A quick glance at the Colossus of Memnon. Then we talked our wonderful guide Waleed into talking us all to Dier El Medina. A village of the workers and scribes. We watched a series on this before we came so this was great. A bit of a break before heading to Luxor Temple as we watched it lit up by night and then a rooftop dinner, enjoying the view of Luxor!
