Trapini Day 4

A well earned sleep in today and off to Favignana - the bigger of the two offshore islands. It did not have the charm of Levanzo, but we went for a wander and had a look around and found some nice bits. Did also try to find a beach but both that we found, while being sand, swimming was prohibited. Again like much of the region, very steep hills that are quite barren. There was one we supposed to climb (the one with the fortress on it) but we passed. The trip back was interesting! Anne tells me this is called choppy - worth a small video. Then off to the find the museum - which turned out to be a library you could not get into. Would have been interesting as it has a amphora with wine from the 12thC in it. Probably past its use by date?? Then had a look at the foreshore and nearly got blown away - but pretty. And finished the day with dinner in the old town. The weather today has been a bit cooler and less humid which is pleasant.Read more
