    The 7 hells of Beppu

    The hells (“jigoku in Japanese) of Beppu are 7 touristy hot springs (onsens) to view in the foothills of the city. Like everything in Japan, it’s very well organized and efficient with frequent buses, a package of 7 tickets and excellent signage to see all of them in one morning or afternoon.
    One blog that I read, describes Beppu as the “onsen Las Vegas” of Japan.
