Change of plan: resting in train & bus

Hmm, my ankle is improving but still pretty swollen and heavy rain is predicted for most of the day tomorrow. Should we still keep our plan which involves two days of strenuous riding in a remote, beautiful but very hilly forested area where public transportation is limited?
