Celebrating my 57th birthday in Austin, Texas. The church that Jamie and I attend online in Austin doubles as a concert venue during the week. Tonight they are hosting one of my favorite artists and I am from row tickets! It's a quick trip from Boise to Austin via Phoenix and then back again to Boise tomorrow but totally worth it!

After Renton picked me up at the airport we went to my favorite coffee shop in Austin called Cosmic Coffee. Kona met us there and we also got to hang out with my pastor, Jason from Austin New Church.

The kids then took me on a walk before an early dinner at Uchiko, an amazing, high class sushi restaurant. We then took one more walk through a market before heading to the concert.Read more

Austin trip Part 3 - I can't begin to share how wonderful last night's concert was! Fin Greenall, known professionally as Fink, is in English, songwriter, musician and poet. I don't know how better else to describe his music but to say that I can deeply feel it. I have followed his career for years and know all of his music. He doesn't tour the US that often, but just happened to be opening his acoustic tour in the United States at the '04 Center in Austin, which is home to Austin New Church. It was everything that I hoped it would be, especially getting to experience this with Kona and Renton. We even got to meet him after the concert. My soul is full!Read more
