    One of the most powerful monuments I have seen. A hole in the ground with empty bookshelves and a plaque with the below quote from Heinrich Heine.
    "Dort, wo man Bücher verbrennt, verbrennt man am Ende auch Menschen"
    "Where they burn books, they will in the end also burn people."

    Located at Bebelplatz, where book burning took place in May 1933.
