So after swimming in Caversham Lakes this morning I met Colette and we are walking from Henley-on-Thames to Reading very warm. Stopped in Sonning to lunch at the Bull looking for George Clooney who lives in this village. Little bit worried now we sat down we can't get up will update later. Walked back to Reading no problem but a diversion meant we had to leave the riverside and do the last kilometre on the main road shame. 15km plus good walk but no carrying wet swim gear next time.Read more

Goring to Pangbourne

So finally after all the wet weather I managed to get in a short stretch of Thames path today. Accompanied by Colette Maxfield, we strolled the very pretty route from Goring (passing George Michael's cottage) to Pangbourne where we lunched in 'the Elephant in Pangbourne' Hotel. Apart from one very steep hill an easy route.Read more
