Travel day to Budapest

We took off from Salzburg early this morning and jumped on a train headed for Budapest … had a stop over in Vienna but the train station wasn’t really near the city so we didn’t see much.

We’re pretty tired today, so just wandered the streets a bit and grabbed a bite to eat and called it an early day. Actually, no pics really taken cause we didn’t see anything. We’ll get out and really explore tomorrow.

The one thing I did find interesting is the naming of the city. There’s a river that runs thru it — on one side is the “Buda” district and on the other, the “Pest” district. They refer to the city that way - you are either in Buda, or you’re in Pest. Had no idea. Czytaj więcej
