Windsor Castle

We arrived at Windsor Castle to discover the Queen had flown in (on her Helicopter) to Windsor earlier that morning. You always know if the Queen is present by the flag. The Union Flag is replaced by the Royal Flag when the Queen is there.

Because the Queen was there, we were unable to tour the state apartments. (It is pretty cool to know that the Queen was basically just on the other side of a wall from me though!) We did get to see the rest though. Unfortunately it's forbidden to take photographs anywhere indoors at Windsor Castle so the only photos you will see are of the outside.

We also got to see Queen Mary's Dollhouse. Super cool. The Dollhouse is huge and has so much detail. It even has running water! I really wish I could show you photos of it.Read more
