The Lone Shieling Trail

Dominated by 350 year old sugar maple trees, this area is one of the largest old growth forests in the Maritimes. One of the most protected areas of the park, access is restricted to this short trail. A replica of a Scottish crofter's hut is found at the beginning of the trail.

The mosquitoes were jerks here. We powered in and out of here really fast and didn't stop much for photos.Read more
