• St Martin's Sea Caves

    September 14, 2018 in Canada ⋅ ☀️ 21 °C

We begin our day by stopping at a lovely seaside community whose daily rhythms are guided by the rising and falling of the World’s Highest Tides. At high water, the colourful fishing boats bob in the water in the village harbour. Once the tide recedes, those same boats sit in the mud on the ocean floor!

Because of the angle of the sun at this time of day or was difficult to photograph the sea caves.

The first photo, if you look at the dock, you will see where the water line normally is when the tide is in.

The last photo is a photo i took facing towards where we parked our car... taken while we were out walking on the sea bed. Quite far.. and we were still quite a ways away from the water. The tide recedes really far! When the tide comes back in, all of this will be covered in deep water.
