You really don't appreciate the size until you're standing right here. It’s an incredible meeting of architecture and history. A great place to pause and reflect on everything we saw today!
Fun Fact: The huge colonnade (the rows of columns) surrounding the square was designed by Gian Lorenzo Bernini to look like the "maternal welcoming arms of the Church" embracing the world!Read more
