Place de la Concorde

A big public square in Paris. There used to be a big guillotine here. If my memory serves me right, King Louis the 15th and Marie Antoinette were both executed here.
Chez Marcel

CREPES! Little place tucked away behind the big ferris wheel. I had strawberry Nutella and Matt had Strawberry and whipped cream. Yummmmm....
Musee de l'Orangerie

We were supposed to be going in here but then we realized time was tight and decided to nix it and keep walking to the next destination.
Quick - lunch time

We had lunch at Quick. Sierra had fancy stuffed donut holes. She left them unattended. It was hard not to eat them. I behaved and only took a photo instead.
Palais et Jardin du Luxembourg

Originally created by the widow of King Henry the 4th as her new residence, now owned by the French Senate who meets in the palace.
St Sulpice

This church was in the book/movie the DaVinci Code written by Dan Brown, starring Tom Hanks. For those who saw the movie, this church is the one that had the "Rose Line" in it that Silas visited andもっと詳しく
Eiffel Tower

We took the stairs to the first 2 levels. Oof. All 669 stairs. My feet hurt. We had been walking a lot already before this trek up the stairs. And now my calves hurt too. But, if we hadn't done it, weもっと詳しく
Eiffel Tower 2

Some photos taken from above... first 2 photos from first floor, next 2 from 2nd floor, and last 2 from the 3rd (top) floor.
Catacombs of Paris

Nobody told me there would be a bunch more stairs today! The catacombs are very deep down a creepy spiral staircase. It was almost nauseating going round and round the stairs. It was super coolもっと詳しく
Hopital la Salpatriere

This wasnt the most visually exciting stop of our trip, but for me it was special. I have family history here... going back more than 350 years. The story behind it is a bit of a read, but here it isもっと詳しく
Musee Rodin + lunch

Another museum... this one mostly outdoors. Had lunch at a little cafe inside... special today was curry chicken with rice pilaf. Delicious! I never would have thought to put raisins in my rice but itもっと詳しく
Bateaux Parisiens

We took a dinner cruise on the Seine River. Very enjoyable. Pictures taken were not that great because of the reflection of the inside of boat on the windows plus it had rained a bit earlier so theもっと詳しく
Bateaux Parisiens 2

Ok fine... here are some photos of things from the boat. Again.. sorry for the quality on some, it was hard to get photos at an angle where you don't see reflections on the glass.
Stairs

Oh good. More stairs.
Hotel de Ville Versailles (City Hall)

Just happened to walk by this place on the way to the palace. This place has a garden clock! Neat!
Palais Versailles

Once again I am in awe of the size of this place. Now that I'm older and taller, the palace doesn't feel like it's any smaller... in fact it's bigger than I remembered.
La Petite Venise

Lunch time!
Domaine de Marie Antoinette

Located deeper inside of the palace grounds, this is where Marie Antoinette would go to relax and escape the burden of her royal responsibilities.
Palais Garnier-Opera and the Grand Hotel

The Opera House. The last 2 photos are of the Grand Hotel across the street from the Opera House.
Fragonard Perfume Museum

We learned how perfume is made and got to see a collection of really old perfume bottles and labels etc.
Starbucks

Bought some Paris Starbucks mugs for a few people who requested them. Interesting that the bag is in English not French!
Maison du Chocolat

Yummmmm.
They gave us a free sample of a caviar vodka chocolate. I actually liked it... but I think I might have been the only one in our group that did. Lol
Maison du Miel

The Honey House. So many fun looking flavours.
Place Vendome

Place Vendome is a square in the 1st arrondissement of Paris. Just happened to see it while walking.
Piano on the street

This guy was playing a piano in the middle of the street....Because why not?
