Cameron highlands

Today Karsten was still a bit sick, so I went alone on the trek that we booked earlier this week (being together with one guide and 4 other tourists you don't feel so alone actually, except maybe for couple's pictures ;))

The trek was uphill, into the rainforest and then down to a tea plantation. Again, no animal watching there (although we saw a snake; good to learn that my allergy to wasp and bee stings turns a mildly venomous snake into a potential killer to me!) but a lot of flora to be discovered. The guide was excellent and showed us dozens of plants and trees and explained what they were used for. He also explained about ecology, politics and so on. We passed through a part of the forest called mossy or cloud forest so you can guess that it was full of moss and we basically walked through a cloud. Pretty cool! The tea plantation was really impressive and beautiful and I got to understand better the differences between teas. In summary, a great day (although it would definitely have been better with my dear husb#~*)Les mer
