Viana do Castelo ➡️ Caminha 28 km

The clouds parted overnight and we awoke to a glorious sunrise and view. The previous day's climb was well worth it !
The sounds of 29 noisy Germans getting ready for the day ahead was slightly less welcome, but to be expected in albergue living and all was taken in stride.
Today’s walk was dedicated to the cobble. Cobble stones come in a myriad of varieties; none of which are charming! That being said, it was a perfect walking day in terms of weather, terrain and walking companions (72 yr old Diana, and Allison, an American who chose to celebrate her 35th wedding anniversary with a solo Camino) Both these lovely ladies the day pass more quickly than we expected.Read more
