    Halong Bay

    February 5, 2017 in Vietnam ⋅ ⛅ 9 °C

Martina and I wanted to discover the Halong Bay by ourself and tried to avoid the tourist crowd. Was not very easy to NOT book a tour from a travel agency because they want to make comissions everywhere. But we made it, and everything went very smooth!

We took the local bus and first time we saw a bit more then only a city from Vietnam. Funny were the narrow houses in the middle of nowhere and the motorcycle taxi ride to the bay.

Halong Bay is an area in the Gulf of Tonkin in a province in northern Vietnam. Limestone rocks rises hundred meters high from the water. It's also a UNESCO world heritage. Together with the stunning cave it was a really nice trip.

Now we are enjoying a beer and looking forward to travel to the south.☀️🌊🍜🍻🏄‍♀️
