Meeting local rice farmers

Because Hoi An is surounded by thousands of rice fields, we wanted to see how this works!

Best idea we had, just go to the fields and asked one of the farmers to help them out. Feeling on our own body how it is to put the rice seedlings in the water under the hot sun. With a little help for the communication from our guest house "mother", they showed us how it works and we helped them.
Nice to have a private tour and speak with the locals, I just loved it!

Jim (the guy from the photo) passed by and took us to different rice fields and to his familiy afterwords.

Btw: Martina and I did the front of the field from one of the photo. Guess you can see from 100km that we are beginners :) And is it just me or does Martina already looks like an Asia girl? ;) Czytaj więcej
