    Sometimes it’s good to have no plans. We took a taxi to the Kochi Prefectoral Makino Botanical Garden. Driving there was a highlight, up a hill on the narrow road. We passed a Tori gate to a shrine and a small village area. Finally we arrived. Tomitaro Makino, known as the father of Japanese botany was its founder. Everything was labelled. Gorgeous greenhouse, filled with tropical plants and orchids. After our visit, we taxied to the Kochi castle and then back to our ship.Læs mere
