Today, we hit the slopes for resort skiing, which is why everyone heads to Vermont this time of year! Sugarbush is my absolute favorite mountain around here. They don’t over-groom the trails, so there are tons of moguls (those snow bumps) that make skiing a bit more of a challenge. I skied with Emily and Bryan, and we were all doing Alpine skiing. No free heels today! The terrain was pretty wild, with about 5 inches of fresh powder on top of some really firm ground.

After hitting the slopes, we traveled back to the clubhouse for hors d’oeuvres with Melissa. She put together a fantastic fruit and cheese platter. Then, it was time to tidy up and drive to our old friends Beth and John to celebrate Beth’s 60th birthday. It was a fantastic party and a great opportunity to catch up with Beth’s entire family.
