Travelereverence," commonly known as the Whale Tails, is a 12-to-13-foot tall, 36-ton African black granite sculpture by Jim Sardonis located in Technology Park, South Burlington, VT. Created in 1989, these iconic, diving whale tails are located between exits 12 and 13 on I-89 and symbolize the fragility of the planet and the ancient, submerged history of the Champlain Valley.
