Day 24 - Silverstone to Leeds

The English Cricket team were too good in the third Ashes Test at Headingley, winning within four days. So, our planned day at the cricket did not go ahead. Nevertheless, we still travelled to Leeds as planned. As we weren’t in a hurry, we stopped over in Northampton for some breakfast.

After breakfast, we headed east through Boston to Skegness, a seaside town known for its sandy beaches, amusement parks, and traditional fish and chips. We had a walk along the beach and enjoyed a light lunch. From Skegness, we drove straight to Leeds.

We have a small apartment in need this evening. It is a pleasant change from our salubrious digs at Silverstone. We will be able to cook our own dinner and have some clothes washing done. Luxury!Read more
