• Day 31 - Chichester to Poole

    July 17, 2023 in England ⋅ ☁️ 15 °C

Today was one of our shortest drive days, as we were scheduled to catch up with our friends Sue and Jos in Poole. The plan was to arrive in the morning and spend a nice relaxing day before hopping on the ferry to France tomorrow.

Poole is a coastal town and seaport in the south of England. It is known for its natural harbour, which is the largest in Europe, and for its sandy beaches. Poole is a popular tourist destination, with attractions such as Poole Harbour, Brownsea Island, and the Lighthouse arts centre. The town also has a rich history, dating back to the Iron Age, and has been an important port since the Middle Ages. So in the afternoon, we had a lovely walk around the lake at Poole Park Lake, the harbour and old town.

This is the last day of the UK leg of our trip. Tomorrow, it will all change as we hit the European continent for the first time.
