Day 63 - Munich to Frankfurt

The Alps are behind us, and we are now on our way back to London. The road from Munich to Frankfurt was uneventful, relatively flat, and all autobahn running. However, we did get an opportunity to stretch the legs on our roadster.

The autobahns have no federally mandated speed limit, but there are still recommended speed limits in some areas. On some occasions, I was driving at 130 kilometres per hour, yet other cars flew past me as if I was sitting still. Our roadster is not geared to go too much faster than l was going, so I was happy to sit at 130 kilometres per hour.

We stopped off in Stuttgart to visit the Mercedes Benz Museum. The museum building is impressive, and the museum display is one of the best we have been on tour. An elevator takes you to the top floor, and you wind your way down through the display across multiple levels. We also had a device that provided an audio description of the cars on display. We ended our day completing the drive to Frankfurt.Read more
